Peaks Tour Sportive
This Sportive takes in the very best of the Peak District and its breathtaking beauty. Riders will experience challenging climbs, rolling descents and views that make all the effort worthwhile, and it doesn’t take long before the first serious climb of the day presents itself - the iconic Mam Tor, which will be a test for any rider. The next couple of climbs are kinder, at least, they will take you up to around the same elevation gain, but they’re more drawn out and less steep.
The hills don’t let up and you’ll tackle constant climbs and drops along the way. The final sting - but by no means the last climb - comes just outside Thorncliffe, as you head back to base. This Sportive isn’t for the faint-hearted, make no mistake, but you’ll savour having completed this tough test for some time to come. It is truly amazing! Three new routes for 2020 - 100, 75 and 44 miles - offer a ride to suit most cyclists' abilities.
