Phil and Bonnie Bounder Forest Runs (10k and 6k)

Sun 10th July 2022

A forest trail winds through tall, dense trees and lush undergrowth. Sunlight filters through the canopy, creating patches of light on the forest floor. The path is lined with fallen leaves and ferns, providing a tranquil and natural setting.

Organiser's Description

A 10k and 6k run on a mixture of typical forest tracks and woodland paths in the beautiful Moreton Forest and adjoining woodland.

Runners will come across sweeping wide tracks and rough and undulating terrain, trees in the middle of the course and tree roots underfoot. This will call for good eye to foot coordination. If it has been raining there may be some muddy ground to contend with. There are two stiles to cross and a stream as well. The last kilometre is on a quiet country road.

The event is in memory of Bonnie Christopher and Phil Carpenter and to raise money for ‘Bonnie’s Last Wish for Suffering Donkeys’ and Weymouth Saint Pauls Harriers & Athletic Club.

Really well organised! The route was clearly marked out, the marshalls were fab and friendly, there was a band to egg us on at the start and they played for us to the finish! The medal and goody bag were lush and I can't wait to go again next year!
