Organiser's Description
Why not take the opportunity to shake off the holiday excess during the 'twixmas' period. At this event we will be having a medal pick n mix - if you have missed any of our events this is your opportunity to collect that medal, subject to availability.
This is one of our timed events where you choose how far to go - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, course along the Taff Trail through the park.
At Phoenix Running South Wales we welcome runners and walkers alike - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7-hour time limit. Everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers medal.

Course Details
An officially measured (UKACM) route of 5.3km, or 3.28 mile, out and back course along the Taff Trail through Barry Sidings Country Park. Starting near Barry Sidings Café, you will head down the trail towards Pontypridd to the turnaround point, you will retrace your steps passing the aid station, the café, and the lakes on your way to Trehafod and the turnaround point, returning to the aid station to finish a lap.
This route qualifies as Road for anyone looking to join the 100 Marathon Club
