By road: The Castle is on the South side of Portchester, off the A27, or Junction 11 of the M27. Use postcode PO16 9QW for Satnav.

By bus: The bus from Portsmouth takes 33 minutes and costs £2 - £3. The Number 3 bus runs from Fareham bus station to Portchester every 20 minutes.

By train: Portchester train station is situated on the West Coastway Line between Brighton and Southampton. South Western Railway provides an off-peak service of three trains per hour from London Waterloo, and two trains per hour each from Portsmouth & Southsea and Southampton Central.
