Organiser's Description

The 5k is an achievable distance and a good first challenge for most people. At just over 3 miles it can take about an hour to walk on average, but there's no pressure to finish in a certain time. Go at your own pace to help fund life-saving cancer research.

How to Get There

By car:

General Event Parking: Event car parking is provided within the Stormont Estate and can be accessed via the Stoney Road entrance. All car parks are only a short walk to the Castle Buildings car park where the start / finish area is placed. Stewards and signage will direct you on the day.

Blue Badge Parking: Available in car park D. Stewards will direct you on the day.

Volunteer Parking: Castle Buildings (Lower)

Drop Offs: Bottom of Stoney Road

Electric Charging points: The closest Electric car changing is at the Stormont Hotel car park.



Public transport and pedestrians:

Pedestrians: Please enter Stormont via the entrance gate on Stoney Road, if you enter via the main Stormont gates you will have a 10+ minute walk to the event site

Bus: Glider to Rosepark

Cycling & Bike Racks: Bike racks are situated throughout the venue

Got there rain drizzle heavy but didn't put me off got a freebie bag michael was good on podium with guests Started of with walkers then as started with a great turnout I proceeded to run n walk enjoyed the route 1st time in stormont since 70s lol anyway finished in 35 mins at 66 thought was good will be back next year my next challenge 10k lisburn 19th june. Then on my 67th birthday 5k at hillsborough Castle really looking forward to that one Sunday 28th July.well done everyone and thanks to all organisers on the day
