Organiser's Description

Climb, crawl and slide your way around the Pretty Muddy® obstacle course at your own pace. 5k is just over 3 miles and can take about an hour to complete on average, but there's no pressure to finish in a certain time – it's all designed for fun! Get muddy as an individual or with a group of friends or family, act like a big kid and raise money for life-saving cancer research.

How to Get There

There is limited parking available at Milehouse Park Ride car park, so we suggest car sharing or using public transport or nearby city centre car parks where possible.



Disabled Accessible parking is also available at Milehouse Park Ride car park.



Plymouth train station is a20 minute walk to the event site.



The nearest public electric car charging points to the event site are via Pod Point Charging point at Plymouth Life Centre Plymouth. Electric vehicle chargers are available in two areas of this car park. Vehicles must be plugged in, charging and have an active parking stay when using these bays.



Plymouth City Council have installed more cycle parking across the city, You can find cycle parking available within Central Park by using what three words ///tummy.grace.vibe



Try to use the most sustainable forms of transport when making your way to the event. Explore on foot or go by bike if you can. Make use of public transport and minibuses and take the bus or join a ride-share for longer distances.

Due to the nature of the event it is not suitable for wheelchair users. Whilst this course is not accessible for wheelchair users given the nature of the obstacles; the event site is accessible and flat. The event site itself is on grass with tarmac surrounding.There are blue badge holder parking spaces adjacent to the Life Centre, and the main event site has tarmac running adjacent to the finish line in case the grass is affected by wet weather.



The 5k Course has an overall ascent of 89m throughout the full 5k course.

Meeting Point Information

The start line is situated close to the entrance of the Central park opposite the Plymouth Life Centre.Please arrive 15 to 20 minutesbefore your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.



Do to the nature of this event - no dogs are allowed.



If you feel you might need extra help at the event please do pick up a special badge at the Blue Enquires Marquee so that our crew and volunteers can look out for you.
