Get ready for an exhilarating adventure at the Race The Light event, hosted by pureTrail on Saturday, December 19th, 2020, in the stunning Mothecombe area of Plymouth, Devon. Now in its fourth year, this unique race invites participants to tackle an 8.5-mile course that winds through the enchanting secret tracks and trails of the Flete Estates. As the sun sets between 4-5 PM, runners will need to be quick on their feet to finish before darkness takes over, making head torches a mandatory accessory. Be prepared for a bit of a splash as you cross the river estuary on both the outward and return journeys—wet feet are part of the fun! Now in it’s 4th year. The start time for the race is 2:30-3pm, with darkness coming somewhere between 4-5pm… can you finish in daylight? The Race is a shadowy 8.5 mile escapade, meandering through the Flete Estates’ secret tracks and trails. You’ll be crossing the river estuary on the outward and return legs, so be prepared for wet feet. (Knee height at max.) We’re racing the light (and the tide) and head torches will be mandatory.. but if you’re quick you might make it back before dark. Mothecombe, South Devon.
