UK Sports For All are proud to announce the opening for registration in the second of the Two Countries Series, RACE THE TRAILS on 3rd July 2022 in the beautiful Comer Woods, part of Dudmaston Estate near Bridgnorth.

Course Details

The race will take place over a 5K out and back loop on a multi-terrain surface which is in great condition. The course isn't hilly but it isn't flat either. There is some climbing but not steep.
Throughout the course there will be marshals in key locations as well as signs to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.

Trail shoes would be the preferred choice if the weather is wet.

21.1K – 1.1K loop followed by 4 out and back 5K loops

15K – 3 out and back 5K loops

10K – 2 out and back 5K loops

5K – 1 out and back loop

3K – 1 out and back 3K loop

How to Get There

If you are heading from Bridgnorth along the A442, go past Quatford, keep an eye out for the food stop cafe on your left, then followed by Hollins Park. The turning for Comer Woods Car park is soon after on your left hand side. Drive straight on, the car park is well signposted. There will be signs to the start line from the car park, it is about 500m.

Parking

Parking facilities approximately 500m from the start/ finish line – Parking costs £4.50 for the day, currently the machine only accepts cash payments, it doesn't give change either! You can pay over the phone but some networks don't have great coverage in the area. Much easier paying cash.

  • What time does the event start?

    HM 09:00hrs 15K 09:30hrs 10K 10:00hrs 5K 10:15hrs 3K 10:25hrs

  • Is there an aid station?

    Yes, absolutely. Our aid station is stocked to cater for a wide choice of tastes including vegan and vegetarian. We try and discourage single use plastics, so you will need to bring your own refillable water bottle, we will provide the water.

  • Can I run with a stroller?

    Unfortunately, our insurance doesn't cover strollers on multi terrain races

  • Can I run with my dog?

    We love animals of all types, but due to insurance regulations we are unable to accept dogs at our races.

  • What time does the event finish?

    The course closes at 12pm

  • When do I receive my bib?

    You will receive an information pack by email 5 to 7 days before race day. You can collect your bib from the registration desk on race day. Please make sure you fill in your emergency contact details on the reverse.

  • What if I can't make it on race day?

    You can run it virtually and we will post your medal to you, however, please note that your recorded time will not be taken into account on the top 3 finishers within your category.

Registration will open at 8:00 am and close 15 minutes before the start of each race.

21.1K – 9:00 am

The course will officially close at 12:00pm

Awards – 11:15am
There will be awards presentation for the top 3 male and female finishers in each category.

Water - Bring your own refillable bottle
We aim to make our events as environmentally friendly as possible by trying to limit the number single use plastic bottles, please bring your own refillable bottle. We provide water at our aid station to refill your bottles.


First Aiders
We are proud to announce that St John's Ambulance will be providing first aid during our event.

refund and cancellations

If due to circumstances beyond our control the event needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, your entry will automatically be transferred to the next local event. Due to the high costs of staging events such as this, we are unable to offer refunds.

Any change in distance after sign up will incur a cost if going up. For example, if you signed up to 10K and would like to then change to 15K, there would be an admin charge for the change. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds when changing from a higher to a lower distance.
