The course is an out and back route including two laps of a loop.

The race starts on grass and runners will head along Riverside Drive towards Kingston.

The course then runs along the towpath before turning left onto Lower Ham Road. The route continues onto Richmond Road, Dukes Avenue, Dysart Avenue, Burnell Avenue, Beaufort Road and before turning left back onto Riverside Drive. Charity Support

In 2021 Ranelagh 10k is run in Support of Nick and Kathy Henry and Cancer Research UK.

Nick was diagnosed with Gall Bladder Cancer in June 2021 after finding a lump in his neck.
Gall Bladder Cancer is relatively rare, especially for men Nick’s age (47) as it is more common in women, and over 75’s. Just over 1000 people are diagnosed in the U.K. each year.

Nick and Kathy both found running in their forties, with Nick starting first and Kathy annoying the hell out of him for getting faster than him! They are both members of local running clubs (Richmond Running Club and Ranelagh Harriers) and regularly spotted at Old Deer Park parkrun.
When you register for the race you’ll be given the opportunity to add a donation to their campaign, please do so generously!
