This fantastic and well-established sportive event has been captivating cyclists for 11 years, and this year, it takes you along the legendary Tour de France Grand Depart route.
Cyclists of all abilities can choose from three exciting race distances: tackle the challenging 5 Dales at 118 miles, featuring eight major ascents, including the iconic climbs of Kidstones, Buttertubs, and Whipperdale Bank, perfect for seasoned riders seeking a true test of endurance. For those looking for a slightly less daunting challenge, the 4 Dales at 85 miles skips two of the hardest climbs but still includes the thrilling Buttertubs and Whipperdale Bank. Beginners or those wanting a more relaxed ride can opt for the 3 Dales, a 60-mile route that boasts stunning scenery and a major challenge up Whipperdale Bank. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a newcomer to the sport, the Richmond Cyclosportives promises an unforgettable experience amidst breathtaking landscapes!

Organiser's Description
A fantastic, popular, well established sportive that has been running for 11 years, now utilising the legendary Tour de France Grand Depart route. Three routes will each follow part of the Grand Depart route: 5 Dales, 118 miles with 8 major ascents, including Kidstones, Buttertubs and Whipperdale Bank - the 3 Tour climbs (this one is for experienced cyclists!); 4 Dales, 85 miles, misses 2 of the hardest climbs but still includes Buttertubs and Whipperdale Bank (enter the 115, but take this option if you're having a bad day!); 3 Dales, 60 miles, follows the main route for the first 30 miles, then 'escapes' down Swaledale. Still a major challenge, especially up Whipperdale Bank, the final climb!
