Organiser's Description

We are delighted to welcome the return of the hugely popular Run Frimley on Sunday 5th May 2024. The event has always attracted a strong community following with over 1,000 runners taking part year on year. Following the success of 2023, the event is comprised of a challenging Closed Road 5k and 10k race (featuring chip timing for all participants) and our 1 mile ‘colourful’ family fun run. This will improve your overall running experience providing a consistent running surface throughout to help you reach those PB’s and above all delivers maximum safety for our runners.

We have an amazing event village, so there is something for everyone. To keep the little one’s entertained, there will be face painters, games, activities, performers and more. The whole event will also be complimented with music, plenty of stalls to browse around and many delicious caterers to enjoy. All carefully handpicked to ensure our guests enjoy their time at the event.

Both routes are now wheelchair and pushchair friendly and we will also have dedicated cheer points out on the route to help push you along and give you that added boost, all adding to a fantastic and unique running experience of Run Frimley.

Our Fun Run

The course will stay within the grounds of the event village which means everyone can watch and cheer loudly to all those taking part. What is even more exciting is that we are making this event super colourful and will need your help too! They’ll be powdered paint just as you will have seen at other colour runs and bubbles for all the runners to enjoy and embrace as you run together. Where we need your help is to add even more colour. We want to see the wackiest, craziest, and the most colourful runners we ever seen!

As we want this to be the whole family taking part together, we are also giving free entry to the fun run to anyone who takes part in either the 10k or 5k race. The 10k and 5k race will start and finish before the start of the fun run, just so we don’t add any tired legs to the main event, so really, you have no excuse! Please note, there will be a limited number of medals available for this route.

Be prepared, it is very hilly. It’s an out and back route and you definitely need to save some energy for the way back. The start area was very good and the Marshalls were great. Some very tight corners and you end up running the last couple of km with the tail end of the 5k race, which was a bit frustrating as it required a bit of weaving. Not a PB course I would say, but challenging.

Good vibe in the event village, quick and easy collection of bib number, friendly and helpful volunteers. Route was quite hilly though.
