What is the route?
Starting in Wimbledon, London and finishing under the Eiffel Tower.

How far is it?
225 miles, team of 5, 4 days = 12 miles per person per day. Some days are longer and some shorter, not each section will be exactly 12 miles.

How do we cross into France?
All of the teams are on the same ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe. A return ferry ticket is given to each team to get them home.

Day 0 - Registration
Teams will gather the night before to register and receive their safety briefing. A chance for everyone to get together and discuss tactics for the epic adventure ahead

Day 1 – Things get real
Teams will gather together alongside the iconic Wimbledon Tennis Club, the excitement will be palpable with the road stretching out ahead of the runners. Runner 1 takes the baton and we are underway.

For runners 2-5 it’s time to hit the road and head to the first change over, there is no rush, each leg is roughly a half marathon distance and runner 2 needs to be ready at the changeover point to take on the baton. Plenty of time to find a great local cafe or spend an hour exploring the local area. As the team head towards the coast, runner 3 and then 4 take over, by the time runner 5 is chewing up the miles the team head to the day 1 finish line where the everything is set up and waiting for your arrival. With a hot meal in your belly and perhaps an isotonic beer or two to keep you hydrated (for the non drivers) it is time to head to the ferry terminal for the first nights camping. Not under the stars but on the floor of the overnight ferry to France. Lux!

Day 2 – France
The teams start the day early as we disembark the Ferry and head to the startline of Day 2. There will be a little weariness but the route is short, fast and flat. It is time to motor but don't forget to look around, the route is stunning, past chataux, cafe's and fields. Each leg is roughly 10k so with our early start we will be at basecamp just after lunch. Your tent will be there waiting for you and a lovely afternoon nap.

Now there is a chance to put your feet up and relax for a few hours, dinner is in the beautiful village hall just a short walk away and with massage, a gentle yoga stretching session and some delicous local food you will be fit and raring to go on day 3.

Day 3 – The Queen Stage
The Queen Stage. Tough, long and stunning scenery. Reaching the campsite tonight will feel fantastic.

Day 4 – The Finish
The finish line is in sight, the final push. The team reunites at the Trocadero. You don’t come this far and finish alone. All 5 of you cover the last mile together, finishing under the Eiffel Tower. You have just Run2Paris. Imagine how that feels.

We have hired a local bar where we can celebrate our achievements but once you cross that finish line it is up to you.

Turn around and head back straight away or enjoy the sights and sounds of the French Capital for a couple of extra nights. You have a ticket for a return ferry from Dieppe to Newhaven booked for Monday morning but do let us know if you want to change this. Driving home is going to highlight just how far you have run.

When is it?
The whole team must register in person on the evening. You will collect your participant number, receive a full safety briefing and get ready to start.

How much does it cost to take part?
£185pp with discounts available for early entry and complete teams. The registration fee is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the Event Organisers in which case you are entitled to a full refund.

Starting in Wimbledon, London and finishes at the Eiffel Tower, Paris.

Where do I stay?
Your registration fee includes camping at the event hubs. Tents will be provided and allocated on arrival.

When does the campsite open?
Access to the campsite will be available from 15:00 on each day and pack down will commence at 08:00.

Why do I need a vehicle and two drivers?
The minimum of 2 drivers are also runners in your team of 5. Your car travels down the route carrying the teammates who aren’t running that leg. The changeover points are clearly marked and this is the spot to collect one runner and drop off the next. As every member runs 1 leg each day you need a minimum of 2 of your running team to be able and insured to drive your team car. Each driver must be comfortable driving in France including into the centre of Paris.

Can I bring another vehicle?
Your registration fee includes a return ferry crossing for 1 vehicle, there will be the option to purchase an extra ferry ticket but each car must have a minimum of 2 drivers who are happy to drive in France including into the centre of Paris.

Can I take part on my own?
Run2Paris is a team event so people must be in teams of 5 however you can register as an individual, you can use the facebook group to match you up with others of similar abilities. Teams of less than 5 will not be able to take part.

Can my company enter a team?
Yes, you can’t call yourself a proper team until you have Run2Paris together.
Is there an age restriction?
The minimum age 18. There is no upper age limit, as long as you are fit and able we would love to have you!

Can we do this with less than 5?
Each team will need to consist of 5 team members, who will each run a stage each day. You can use the facebook group to match you up fellow runners. Teams of less than 5 will not be able to take part.

What do I need to pack?
A full kit list will be provided ahead of the event but an outline can be provided here.

Do all participants need to run each day?
Yes, each team member will run one leg each day.

Can different participants run in the UK and France?
No the team that starts the event finishes the event.

Does each runner needs to run the same stage each day or can we swap about?
The team can decide who runs each stage each day.

What happens if one of us has an injury and can’t run a stage or has to pull out?
Please speak to the event team on the day to talk through options. Either a teammate will need to run 2 stages in a day or you will need to skip one stage each day.

Do we need to sort our own insurance cover?
Yes, we require each participant to have their own insurance, please speak to your insurance provider and tell them exactly what you are doing.

How will Brexit affect this?
With the Brexit deal agreed the way ahead is becoming clearer for event organisers. Things are still developing and inevitably there are teething troubles but we continue to monitor the situation and will provide participants with all the information required well ahead of the event.

How will we navigate on the route?
Each team will be provided with a live tracking device and access to our route map. We require runners to download the RunGo App and we will send across the running route for you to download. RunGo acts as a SatNav for runners and will provide turn by turn directions for each runner – a headphone is recommended. Team mates, friends and family will be able to follow runners progress on the live tracking device and this will act as your baton to pass between teammate at the changeover points and handed into basecamp HQ each evening for recharging.

Parkinson’s UK & SSAFA
Your place in Run2Paris will raise vital funds to support our two fantastic Charity Partners, Parkinson’s UK and SSAFA- The Armed Forces Charity. When you register for the event you will have a fundraising page automatically created for you. Your fundraising target is just £400 per person that is less than most major half marathons and so achievable for such an epic challenge. The money you raise will be administered through the Run2Paris Foundation which will split the final total 50/50 with the two benefiting charities. We will support you all of the way and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Fundraising in more detail
You must use your place in Run2Paris to raise money through the Run2Paris Foundation and you must raise 75% of your fundraising (£300) a month before the run sets off. Any money donated directly to the Charity Partners will not count towards this total. Unfortunately you are not able to raise money for any other Charity through Run2Paris. What we offer is unrivalled fundraising support from a team that has been raising money for over 30 years. The impact your fundraising will make will change lives, from investing in cutting edge medical research into finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease to offering a last minute grant to keep a veteran in their home.
