Salty Sea Dog Triathlon - August

Swim:
It is a 375m swim lap that is done once for the super sprint (375m) and twice for the sprint (750m)

Bike:
It’s then a short but steep climb out and onto the over cliff coast road to the turn point at Hengistbury Head. For the super sprint, it is 1 lap (11.7km) and for the sprint, it is 2 laps (23.4km). 10mph speed limit on the promenade, please.

Run:
The run is as flat as a pancake and is a simple out and back along the seafront promenade again it is 1 lap (2.5km) for the Super Sprint and 2 Laps (5km) for the Sprint.

The transition area is in front of the shower/toilet block and event registration.

05:15 - Transition and registration opens (please do not arrive before this time)

06:50 - Registration shuts. Don’t be late!

07:00 - Start for both distances

10:00 - Triathlon cut off

If you would like a high-quality finisher’s medal then please book when entering the event.

Your medal will be issued to you just after the finish line.

Votwo is aware that some people want medals and some people don't. We do not want to needlessly produce items that go to waste, hence we have devised this order form. In previous years we have issued free medals to all finishers but the world is changing and we are trying to minimise our environmental impact.

We will have limited spare medals on the day if wish to purchase at the event.

As part of the entry system to the event all participants agree to the following:

Participants must read the event information pack before attending the event. This now replaces the physical event briefing

All cyclists will wear a correctly fitted BS-EN cycle helmet

Cycles must have working front and rear brakes and all equipment must be in good serviceable order

Drafting and riding in groups is not permitted

Whilst cycling on the promenade section between the highway and transition area cyclists must keep their speed to no more than 10mph and maintain a good lookout for other promenade users

All cyclists will adhere to the rules and regulations of the highway code

Boscombe Beach is an excellent location to relax at whilst your athlete is racing around.

The Cafe will be open serving hot food and drinks.
