Join us for the exhilarating Squires and Spires Sportive, organized by Just Racing UK, on Sunday, May 17th, 2020, in the picturesque Northamptonshire countryside. This exciting cyclosportive invites cyclists of all levels to experience the charm of rural England as they pedal through beautiful villages steeped in rich history. Riders can choose from three stunning routes, ranging from 51 to 96 miles, allowing for flexibility on the day of the event.
As you navigate this scenic course, you'll pass by magnificent country houses, ancient churches dating back to the 13th century, and historic villages that played significant roles during the English Civil War. While Northamptonshire may not boast towering mountains, the final stretch of the course promises to challenge even seasoned cyclists. All participants will be rewarded with a bespoke finishers medal and have access to well-stocked feed stations along the clearly marked route. Organiser's Description
The Squires and Spires Cyclosportive takes place through the rolling Northamptonshire countryside, and passes through many beautiful villages which are steeped in history. Riders can choose one of 3 routes ranging from 51 to 96 miles, which you don’t have to choose until event day.
The route is littered with country houses, ancient churches dating back to the 13th century, and passes through numerous villages made famous by the English Civil war. Northamptonshire is not renowned for its mountains or extreme terrain, but that does not mean it isn’t challenging, especially the final third of the course. All finishers will receive a bespoke finishers medal and have well stocked feed stations along the well signed route.
We are working alongside Go Beyond Sport and who will be delivering the Shires and Spires Northants Ultra on the Saturday from the same venue
