Individual Challenges
400m / 16 lengths.
In its third year, a now staple Swimathon distance returns: the 400m swim. If you haven't swum for a while, our 400m challenge is just the one for you. It’s the equivalent of 16 lengths of a 25m pool and will remind you why you love swimming so much!
1.5km / 60 lengths
A great challenge for novice swimmers or those who prefer to push their speed on shorter distances. If you fancy working your way up to 60 lengths of a 25m pool, whilst raising vital funds for our charities, then this is for you.
2.5km / 100 lengths
If you’re looking to go to great lengths to get sponsored, then 100 lengths of a 25m pool is for you. So jump in and make some proper fundraising waves.
5km / 200 lengths
This is the ultimate Swimathon challenge and by far the most popular Swimathon distance. It takes dedication, commitment and a good training programme to complete 5k. And, because 200 lengths of a 25m pool will leave everyone, including you, breathless, your efforts will be rewarded with lots of sponsorship and an awesome 5k medal at the end!
Triple 5k Challenge / 600 lengths
After last year’s huge success with our brand-new challenge, it is back by popular demand – The Triple 5k. Swim 5k THREE times, each at different Swimathon sessions. Definitely not for the faint hearted! This distance is suitable for regular swimmers who are capable and confident of taking on longer distances. Putting in the hours of training for this distance is highly recommended
Team Challenges
1.5km / 60 lengths
Take on 60 lengths of a 25m pool in a relay with your friends or family. Tell everyone you know and then watch your sponsorship total come along swimmingly.
5km / 200 lengths
Round up your water-loving friends and take on 200 lengths of a 25m pool together. Then lap up the sponsorship money and the glory and wear your medals with pride!
