The Adder Dash

Sat 19th September 2026

A wide, grassy field under a clear blue sky with wispy clouds, leading to distant greenery and a single tall wooden beacon structure near the horizon. A broken wooden gate opens onto a grassy field under a partly cloudy sky, with a narrow dirt path leading from the foreground into the open landscape. A wide, open field with lush green grass under a partly cloudy sky. Tire tracks curve through the field. There are trees and a small purple building to the right in the distance. A large stone with a metal plaque sits on grassy ground in a sunlit wooded area, surrounded by tall trees with dense green foliage. A wide grassy field stretches toward distant rolling hills under a bright blue sky with scattered white clouds. Clusters of trees and small buildings dot the landscape. A gravel path winds through a grassy countryside under a bright blue sky with wispy clouds. Wooden fence posts line the right side of the path, and distant hills are visible in the background. A narrow paved path leads to a pink food truck with outdoor pink picnic tables and chairs on grassy hills, with a cloudy sky above. Two people sit at a table, and one person stands near the truck.

Organiser's Description

The Adder Dash – a 13 km frolic through the rolling hills and woods of the beautiful South Downs, on Saturday 19 September 2026.

Funds raised will go to South Downs Conservation and the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust. The area is home to a wealth of British flora and fauna, including our event's namesake, the adder – the UK's only native venomous snake, found across parts of the South Downs around Lewes and East Sussex. Adders inhabit chalk grassland, scrub and sunny south-facing slopes, making the Downs an important habitat for the species.

Extremely rare and famously shy: don't worry, the only adders you're likely to see will be on our merch.

Near Lewes, around a site that used to be an old race track – now home to our cafe and sauna.

Once you've purchased your entry we'll follow up with add-ons including finish-line sauna entry and event merch, plus everything you need to know about getting to the location and what to expect on the day.
