Organiser's Description
The aim is to
1) Run on every single day during Advent (1 Dec to 24 Dec)
2) Complete a virtual marathon distance during the 24 days (26.2 miles). This means on average you need to run at least 1.1 miles every day!
However, whilst this is the aim, you can run further and why not try and complete the full lap of our interactive map and a Virtual Ultra distance? You will be able to upload your distance each day and you will be able to see your own progress around our Strava Art Snowman map! One complete loop of the snowman is just over 53 miles which means 2.2 miles each day to complete a full lap. Even if you complete a lap, you will be able to continue running and see how many laps you can complete!!
The interactive map will show you and other runners, whilst maintaining a leader board so you know how you are progressing compared to all the other runners.
We will have special days too during December where you will be able to win prizes and post photos onto our Facebook Group.
The advent challenge sold out in 2020 and 2021 and with our new medal we anticipate a similar level of interest!

What is the minimum distance?
You have 24 days to do 26.2 miles. You can do this as one run or as 24 runs.

What evidence do I need to have?
Ideally please track your distance on a GPS device. You will still be able to enter and participate, however your results will be highlighted as non-GPS in the leader-board.

Is there a maximum distance?
No - you can keep running and recording your results for the full 24 days. You will just keep going around the virtual map collecting crowns at the end of each lap.
