The Bala Sprint Triathlon, organised by findarace.com, is set to take place on Sunday 30th June 2019 in the stunning location of Bala, Gwynedd. This exciting new addition to the triathlon calendar will feature a 750m swim, a 20km closed road bike circuit, and a fast 5km run course along the banks of the beautiful Llyn Tegid. The event is part of the Welsh Super Series and the Bala Big Bash Weekend, offering multisport opportunities for participants of all ages. In addition to the triathlon, there will be children's TriStar events, a team relay triathlon, and open water swimming opportunities. Organiser's Description
The Bala Sprint Triathlon is a new addition to the triathlon calendar and sits alongside the popular Bala Standard Triathlon. The Bala Sprint will be stage 3 of the 2019 Welsh Super Series and will also form part of the Bala Big Bash Weekend – Bash Fawr y Bala, a collaborative multisport festival which provides participation opportunities for any participant from 9 through to 70+.
Welsh Triathlon will work closely with delivery partners, Swim Wales, Gwynedd Council, Snowdonia National Park, the Urdd and a number of community groups to host a feast of multisport. Other activities across the weekend will include children’s' TriStar events, a team relay triathlon with a twist, and open water swimming opportunities.
