How To Get There

Getting there on foot and by bicycle The park is easily accessible by both foot and cycle. You can leave your bicycles with us at the race registration area whilst you run.

Getting there by car For those who wish to drive to the event there is a car park close to the start and adjacent to the Diana Fountain. You are advised to arrive as early as you can.

Getting there by train There are three stations surrounding the park - Hampton Court, Hampton Wick and Teddington - and are all accessible by travelling from London Waterloo. Hampton Court is a 10 minute walk to the event via Hampton Court Gate.

Getting there by bus There are number of buses that travel to Bushy Park and it is then just a short walk from the gate to the event. The closest gate to the event is Hampton Court Gate.

Course Details

The course is a two lap route covering the paths and trails within the boundaries of Bushy Park. The course has been measured using GPS but, because of its multi-terrain nature, it cannot carry a certificate of course accuracy. The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout. We would ask you to remember that we do not have exclusive use of the park and you should be aware that other park users will be on the course.

The route is mostly flat and covers a selection of hard track, tarmac, and a small section on grass. You will pass around various sections of the park alongside the Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club and the Oval Plantation whilst taking in the mixture of scenic woods and lakes. You may even be lucky enough to spot one of the many roaming herds of Red or Fallow Deer that have been known to watch the start of the race on a few occasions!

Results

Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.

An enjoyable, well organised event. The race start was easily accessible and easy to find. I was able to collect my race number when I got there without waiting for ages in a queue. Bag drop was available although you drop your own bag so all bags were accessible to everyone (don’t bring anything too valuable!). The course was well marked with marshals and distance signs every 1K. There was a water stop halfway for those running 10K. Medals were given to everyone and water, biscuits and sweets were available at the end. First aid was on hand throughout the event. Really good fun and 100% would do it again!
