Organiser's Description

THE FOX TRAIL 20K, 41K & 62K!

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE RETURN OF THE FOX TRAIL 20K, 41K & 62K EVENT AROUND GUILDFORD ON SATURDAY 25TH MAY 2024!

-The Fox Ultra presents runners with a unique opportunity to circumnavigate Guildford, clockwise (via Godalming, Puttenham, Worplesdon, Send, Clandon and Blackheath) – an impressive claim to tick off any runner’s bucket list.

The circular 62km ultramarathon – which can be completed individually or as part of a 3-stage relay team – is supported with 5 aid stations and showcases some of the very best views that the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has to offer; from woodlands, grasslands, and farmlands to urban and river-side scenery – this event truly has it all.

The Ultra route follows the Fox Way for the majority of the course. The marathon course starts in Worplesdon and follows the Fox Way clockwise through to Godalming, the Half Marathon route begins in West Clandon and follows the final 21km section of the route to our Godalming finish. 42k and 20k events set off later in the morning and follow shorter sections of this picturesque, mixed-terrain route so that all runners unite at the same finish line in Godalming.

– The Fox Way covers a range of terrain, from grassy farm fields at Shackleford, to sandy trails
at Whitmore and Blackheath Commons, canal pathway past Ripley, to beautiful bluebell
woods near Bramley village.

Get a group of you together and enter the 41k or Ultra race for just £180!

CUPLESS & AID STATIONS

Due to the nature of this event it is going to be cup-less. This means that we WILL NOT be providing bottled water on course. We will have bottled water in our Event Village for pre race and also every finisher will receive a bottle of Water after they finish.
Instead, we will have Aid Stations on all the courses approximately every 10km. At these Aid Stations we will provide basic food supplies and un-bottled water in jugs that our marshals can use to refill you water bottles/flasks. We recommend that all runners use a hand flask, running belt or vest with which to carry essential items, as well as food and water.
