The Great Mosque Challenge

United Kingdom

Fri 31st December 2021

Organiser's Description

he blessed month of Ramadan is upon us. A month designed to feed the soul through fasting, prayer, reflection and helping those in need.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL EVENT AND CAN BE RUN ANYWHERE, ANYTIME AND WILL ONLY FINISH WHEN WE RUN OUT OF ENTRY SPACES!

Running Mad is proud to present The Great Mosque Challenge. A unique initiative that will offer the opportunity to support your local Masjids and reap the rewards of this holy month.

A challenge that is asking you to push your limits in a safe way. Here are a few ideas for challenges, and we encourage you all to get the whole family involved, and maybe even gift the medal to your children for Eid:

- 5k walk/jog
- Run around the garden 100 times in Ramadan
- Wake up for Sehri every morning
- Read all 5 salat through Ramadan
- Read 1 juz of the Quran in a day
- Complete the entire Quran as a family

We are delighted to say that, for the first 400 medals, 100% of the total entry fee (£25) will be donated to a local Masjids in Luton. These 400 medals have been kindly sponsored by the businesses mentioned below.

The funds will be distributed to the mosques you nominate in Luton providing vital funds to support these institutions that so tirelessly support us in our lives, especially during Ramadan, but most importantly through the current pandemic, where they are unable to raise vital funds through the lockdown.

Once you have signed up please follow this link to nominate which Masjid you would like your donation to be sent to - NOMINATE HERE (Please Note: you can only nominate one mosque per entry)

Please Note: due to the pandemic and lockdown, the Medals are due to arrive in a couple of weeks. You can still enter and complete the challenge. As soon as the medals arrive we will make arrangements to get these delivered to you, hopefully before Eid.

We would like to thank the following sponsors for making this project happen and allowing us to raise funds for local Masjids in Luton
