Organiser's Description
Our fun and friendly events are open to everyone. The races offer a supportive environment, with a fun and relaxed atmosphere, meaning everyone enjoys their day.
There are two distances to choose from: 1.2 mile lake swim, 6.5 mile lakeside run; 0.6 mile lake swim, 3.25 mile lakeside run. One or two complete laps of Alderford's spring fed lake is the first challenge, followed by a two or four lap picturesque lakeside run.
This is part of the Ultimate weekend, including the Utlitmate Tri, the 1/2 Ultimate and the 1/4 Ultimate.

Your Health before the Event
If you have any Covid-19 symptoms do not come to the event. If you develop symptoms within 14 days after the event and are tested positive, please contact UK Triathlon immediately.
Social Distancing
It is each and every person's responsibility to social distance at 2 metres where possible before, during and after the event. Please make sure your spectators are aware of and abide by the 2 metre distance rule.
Hand Sanitising
There will be 10 hand sanitiser stations around the venue, please hand sanitise before registration, entering transition, finish line and whenever you have the opportunity to do so before and after the event. Please sanitise before and after toilet use.
Registration
Please allow more time than normal to register. You must register yourself. You cannot have anyone register for you. Only one competitor will be allowed to register at a time (except relay teams who must register together). Please queue at a 2 metre separation. Hand sanitise before entering. Every competitor will be temperature checked with a digital thermometer before registering.
Transition
Each competitor has their own numbered racking position. Rack only there and with your race number facing you.
Race Brief
There will be a short race brief shortly before each event starts from the finish line stage which will be announced over the PA system on the day.
Start Format - Lake Swim
Competitors will each have their own individual start time and be started at the edge of the lake at 10 second intervals. You can only do your warm up on dry land. Maintain a 2 metre gap from other swimmers at all times.
Start Format - Pool Swim
Competitors will each have their own individual start time at 30 second intervals. Maintain a 2 metre gap from other swimmers at all times.
Bike Course
Normal drafting rules apply.
Run Course
Overtake or pass other competitors at a minimum distance of 2 metres where possible.
Feed Stations Run & Finish line
Drinks will be dispensed for you at feed stations, High5 Energy Source & Water will be identified clearly with signs. Move away as quickly as possible allowing for other competitors. Bin your litter.
Spectators
Please do not bring unnecessary spectators if possible. Your Covid Officer is Vic Bickerton If you wish to report anything regarding Covid safety, please report it to Vic located at the finish line.
Awards for overall top three male and female as well as first place male and female in 40+, 50+ and 60+ age groups.

Ultimate Aquathlon Distances:
1.2 mile (2 laps) Lake swim, 6.5 mile (4 laps) Lakeside Run
Ultimate Relay Aquathlon Distances
1.2 mile (2 laps) Lake Swim, 6.5 mile (4 laps) Lakeside Run
Ultimate Half Aquathlon Distances
0.6 mile (1 lap) Lake Swim, 3.25 mile (2 laps) Lakeside Run
At the completion of each swim lap, leave the water; run approximately 20m and get back into the water to start your next lap
There will be a drinks station serving water as you exit after each lap
There will be safety crafts on the water along with a minimum of 10 canoeists
Water depth between 2 to 3 metres (6 to 10 feet)
Wetsuits are compulsory for the Ultimate Aquathlon & Relay (1.2 mile swim)
Your shoe transition will be at the waters edge as you complete your allocated number of laps

Full and up to date 2021 competitor race day information with your race number and start time will be emailed to you 7-10 days before the event.
WE DO NOT POST ANYTHING OUT - you will collect your race numbers, tattoos, stickers etc. at registration on the day.
Minimum Age:
16 Years (on race day); Half - 14 Years (on race day)
Freshwater multi-lap lake swim with Australian exit in between laps (no currents, no weeds)
Swim start, transition & run finish all within a stone's throw of each other
Picturesque countryside run route, ideal for PBs
