Organiser's Description

The Summer Trail Series by Ultra X takes place on the hills and dales of “God’s Own County”, Yorkshire. Located in West Yorkshire, Calderdale is the southernmost of the Yorkshire Dales and covers part of the South Pennines, an area of beautiful river valleys, moorlands, and hills.
The Summer Trail Series offers three race distances: 75km, 50km and 25km.

As is always the case with Ultra X events, these are far more than just races, they are awesome experiences. At the start/finish there will be an expo selling merchandise, hot drinks, food and much more. You are actively encouraged to stay on after your race and enjoy the festivities, BBQ and bar.

The start is a 5 minute walk from Mytholmroyd train station and there is also parking readily available at the Community & Leisure Centre, which can be booked on registration. There is limited parking in Mytholmroyd town centre.

The Ultra Experience Summer Trail Series by ASICS 25k race was a thrilling and challenging adventure. The combination of stunning scenery, tough terrain, and adverse weather conditions created a truly authentic trail running experience. The dedication of the organizers, the camaraderie among participants, and the support from volunteers made this event a memorable one. I would highly recommend this race to any trail running enthusiast looking for an exciting and rewarding challenge.

Ultra x summer series was my first trail race. I did the 25km route and loved it. The only downside I had is that the marking of the route was difficult to follow in places, with other runners and myself taking wrong turns numerous times, but it added to the adventure. The terrain was also technical in places, more so than I expected. All in all, great event and met some great people too!
