How To Get There
Heaton Park is the biggest park in Manchester, covering an area of over 600 acres, and the largest municipal park in Europe.
By car: Heaton Park is easily accessed via the M62/M60.
The Park and Rides at Bury Interchange, Radcliffe and Whitefield offer a quick and easy way to get to Heaton Park and Bowker Vale stops, both of which are within just a few minutes walking distance of the park.
By bus: Heaton Park is served by the x35, 59, 90, 135, 149, 156, 164 and 484 buses from Manchester.
By train: Manchester Piccadilly is less than 5 miles away and is the principal railway station in Manchester, with long-distance intercity and cross-country services to destinations across the country.

Parking
Pay & Display parking is available, but please do use public transport or car share where possible. The closest car-parks are: Lake Car Park (M25 0DL) and Smithy Lodge entrance (M25 2SW). Other options are available, please visit www.manchester.gov.uk/heatonpa... for details.
Event Information
Key timings for the event are as follows:
10.00 am – Event Hub open
10.30am – Suggested arrival time
10.50 am – Fun warm-up
11.00 am – Use Your Senses 5K participants start
11.10 am – Mini Use Your Senses participants start
1.00pm – Event Hub closes
This event is for the whole family. To ensure everyone is safe, U16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) and young adults (16-17) must have parent/guardian consent to take part.
This event is a fun run, which is not formally timed.
Due to the nature of the event and Sense Station activities, dogs (including guide dogs) are not able to participate in any part of the event route.
You may take part with a buggy/stroller, but please be aware of the Sense Stations as you may wish to bypass an activity (no foam in your pushchair).
You will receive your welcome pack in the post within 2 weeks of registration. This will include your race numbers, temporary tattoos and fundraising resources.
Course Details
The Use Your Senses course takes you on a journey through the scenic Heaton Park. The route is set out on the main footpaths over varying gradients.
The route is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance. It is recommended that support is provided due to the gradient of some of the paths.
