Organiser's Description
A mid-season sportive, taking you around the ever-popular cycling haven that is North Yorkshire. The course allows you to chip away at the miles while tackling occasionally testing terrain, with almost 3500ft of climbing over the Standard route presenting some of the best views the Vale of York and the Yorkshire Wolds have to offer.
Starting in York, two routes both thread through quaint and typically pretty villages, then go their separate ways from Low Callis Wold. They join up again as they head for home, and as the finish closes in, two final climbs lay in wait before the long, gradual descent back to York.
This Sportive is ideal for those wanting to get some training in and, considering the 77 and 49 mile distances, isn't too harsh on the legs. That said, there are a few challenging climbs along the Standard route, so don't go thinking it will be a ride in the park. It's not. It's a ride through the stunning North Yorkshire countryside.
