This thrilling trail running event offers participants the choice of running for 3, 6, or 9 hours solo or in a team of up to 3 people in the beautiful Delamere Forest. Teams must complete a minimum number of 5k laps within a 3-hour timeframe to advance to the next stage, with each stage becoming more challenging. The varied terrain includes sandy tracks, grassy tracks, stony trails, and muddy trails with varying degrees of ascent and descent, making the Viper route a tough but rewarding challenge. Voted in the top 20 trail running events 2015/16 by Runners World Magazine, this is an event not to be missed for any trail running enthusiast.
Organiser's Description
Choose from 3, 6 or 9hrs of trail running, solo or in a team up to 3, in the Delamere Forest. Teams must complete a minimum number of 5k (ish) laps within a 3 hour time frame to be able to proceed to the next 3 hour stage. 3 x 3 hour stages: stage 1 - 5 x 5k laps; stage 2 - 6 x 5k laps; stage 3 - 7 x 5k laps. It gets tougher as you go on! Solo runners have no minimum and will be timed separately. Varied terrain - sandy track, grassy track, stony trail, muddy trail -with varying degrees of ascent and descent! The Viper route is not to be underestimated! It is tough!
