Organiser's Description

A 10 mile or 10k run, both starting at 10.10am! Both events start and finish at the showground area of Lee Valley Regional Park - a stunning 10000 acre, 26 miles long linear park, much of it green spaces, running through the northeast of Greater London, Essex and Hertfordshire. The course is traffic free, flat and fast, so not only can you smash your personal best, but you can also enjoy fantastic scenery whilst you're doing it!

How To Get There

By road: The venue is off the A10 which runs from London Bridge to King's Lynn. Leave the A10 at the roundabout with the A121, heading towards Waltham Cross. The venue is on the left, less than 2 miles along the A121. Use postcode EN9 1AB for your Satnav.

By train: The closest station is Waltham Cross, less than a mile away. Waltham Cross is a busy commuter and visitor station with typical journey times to London of 20 to 30 minutes. Set on the West Anglia Main Line connecting passengers with Liverpool Street and Stratford in central London, and Hertford East and Bishops Stortford outside of London, Waltham Cross also has easy connections to Stansted Airport and Cambridge. Waltham Cross sits at the southern end of the Lee Valley Park.

Parking

Parking is available at the Lee Valley Regional Park Showground. Charges may apply.

Event Details

Race numbers are to be collected at the Showground area on the morning of the race. Registration will open at 8:00am and will close at 9:45am. Please arrive in sufficient time to collect your race number!

Please wear your number pinned to the front of your vest.

Come changed and ready to run if possible, but a baggage area is provided. Active Training World does not assume responsibility for lost property. We advise against bringing valuables.

Minumum age: 10 mile - 17yrs; 10 km - 15yrs

Course Details

A beautiful, picturesque course which is predominantly very flat.

The races are both 1 lap and will both start and finish at the same location, at the Lee Valley Regional Park Showground.

Great race. Well organised plenty of encouraging marshals and a great route. Will be doing it again.

Picturesque 10k. A fast mostly flat course through the forest on wide paths! Great run, well organised, very friendly. Just wished I’d run quicker. Oh and the cafe at the water park is perfect for pre or post run coffee.
