Event summary
Athletes of all ages can take part, with race distances tailored to different age groups. Young competitors aged 8 to 14 can choose from distances ranging from a 100m swim and 600m run to a 400m swim and 3km run, while the Youth category (15-16 years) and Junior/Adult category (over 16) will tackle a 750m swim followed by a 5km run. With individual chip timing and a vibrant atmosphere, the ATW Merchant Taylors Aquathlon promises to be a memorable experience for all participants and spectators alike! Organiser's Description
This is an opportunity to race at one of London's most fantastic venues, the exclusive Merchant Taylors School.
The open-water swim will take place in the Merchant Taylors open-water swim lake.
Each race will begin with a deep-water start.
The transition will be on the grass at lakeside and the run will be on the paths around the lake, with a grandstand finish on the running track
All events will be individually chip-timed whilst tackling the following distances (ages as at 31/12/2023):
Tristart – 8 yrs old: 100m swim – 600m run
Tristar1 – 9-10 yrs old: 200m swim – 1.5km run
Tristar2 – 11-12 yrs old: 300m swim – 2km run
Tristar3 – 13-14 yrs old: 400m swim – 3km run
Youth – 15-16 yrs old: 750m swim – 5km run
Junior/Adult - Over 16: 750m swim - 5km run
