The Bealach is the UK’s biggest - and one of the most beautiful - road climb in Britain, at 2053ft from sea level in just 6 miles. It is set in the Scottish Highlands, in a fabulous unspoilt landscape with outstanding views of the sea and the hills, in the mountains of the Applecross Peninsula, renowned as a gem in Scotland’s croen of natural wonders. The Bealach Mor, at 144k, is the bigger brother of the Bealach Beag (72k) which takes place in May. The start and finish will be in Portree.
