There is a cut off point at the 8.5 mile point, if half marathon runners have not reached here by 12.30 they will be driven to the finish line.

This event will be fully marshalled for your safety, with medical support provided.

There are 3 water stops on the route which are marked on the route map (Note: Water stop 2 is for both the half marathon and the 10k route).

Age restrictions: Half Marathon (17+); 10k (16+)

Spectators

Family and friends are welcome to join us on the day. The main event site where the start and finish will take place is located in front of the house, which is where the car park is also situated. Harewood House will be closed at the time of the event, therefore the house, grounds and children's play area will not be accessible. The event site will have catering facilities, toilets and a BHF fundraising tent for spectators to make use of during the day.

First Trail Half. Fantastic run, although I think I underestimated the difficulty of the hills and mud. My legs won't recover until Thursday, but well worth the pain!!! Thanks to all organisers and marshalls involved

Great day. Despite everything that was thrown at them, all the staff working at Harewood House pulled it out the bag. Great day and thoroughly enjoyed the 10k.

Cracking event. Organisers certainly did their best with the facilities they provided and the challenging weather building up to and on the day of the event. Course was a lot more cross country style racing then j expected but was fun nonetheless. Marshals were all happy and helpful despite the weather. Great event for great cause.

Great location & event. I can’t fault the Location or the course, beautiful and fairly challenging for an off road trail run. Plenty of advice beforehand, good site setup with bag drop, warm up area, toilets and post run refreshments. I’m giving this a 4 out of 5 as they failed to have a backup plan with the bad weather or didn’t communicate very well with Harewood house. Subsequently the race times were changed that morning due to parking issues and the kids race clashed with mine so they couldn’t do it which was a bit disappointing for them. Given the location and time of year this could have been avoided but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Good organisation of a half marathon. The team organisers did well with parking on a wet muddy day the race was well marshalled giving encouragement all the way round the course was very muddy and boggy in places making it hard to run but all in all a great day and a good achievement for my first half trail marathon 5*

First off road in 5 years. There were several glitches before the race even started but we were always well informed and they did an amazing job considering the problems the weather caused. The volunteers were amazing and friendly giving support all the way. Everyone did a great job. Some beautiful views along the way helped too.

First Half. Very well organised event, I’d use the term unflat to describe the course but the wonderful views and scenery made it a great first experience at a half, lots of encouragement from the marshalls and BHF team! Will deffinetly be back next year!!
