The Boulter's to Bray Swim, organised by findarace.com, is a historic event taking place on the picturesque Thames on Sat 1st July 2017 in Maidenhead, Windsor and Maidenhead. Dating back to the 19th century, the event was revived in 2012 by the Boulter’s to Bray Swim Trust to uphold its original community spirit. Participants can choose between the 2.8k downstream course starting at Ray Mill Island and finishing at Bray, or the Boulter's 'Mile' introduced in 2015, finishing just downstream of the Sounding Arch. Organiser's Description
The Boulter's to Bray Swim takes place on a beautiful stretch of the Thames and has a history dating back to the 19th century. The original event stopped running in 1969, but was reinstated in 2012 by the Boulter’s to Bray Swim Trust, a not-for-profit organisation keen to maintain the original community spirit of the event. The course is 2.8k downstream, starting at Ray Mill Island in the shadow of Cliveden House and finishing opposite the Waterside Inn at Bray. The Boulter's 'Mile' was introduced in 2015 - taking place alongside the 2.8k it finishes just downstream of the Sounding Arch.
