BURRATOR 10 mile
The route starts off through Norsworthy up to the Princetown-South Hessary track. It will turn left at the junction and continue in an anti clockwise direction, as far as the old railway line at Princetown. Runners will follow this for a short distance before veering off south over the B3212 road, which they will skirt until reaching the boundary at Burrator, heading back along the leats through the plantation. The course will be well marked, but you will still need to have your wits about you and take responsibility for your own decisions. The race is on open moorland in places and we can not guarantee the weather!
BURRATOR 10K & 5K
The Burrator 10k is a fast, flat route that is almost all on tarmac and exactly 10K! Perfect for a night time PB! It starts 0.7 miles South East of the visitor centre and does one complete loop of the reservoir and then 2/3rds of a second loop before finishing at exactly 10K right by HQ (the visitor centre). Ideal for first time night runners, keen road runners, people not used to running off-road or anyone who just wants a night PB on a quick course. By popular demand, and to accommodate younger runners aged 12-15, we’ve added a 5K. This starts at the end of the dam bridge & does one almost complete lap of the reservoir finishing with the other races.
TEAM COMPETITION
We now have an optional team competition. If you don’t have a team use your club name which will also qualify for the team competition. The team’s time is the time of the first three team members to cross the line added together.
