Charity Challenge: The Peak District

Sheffield, South Yorkshire

King Edward VII Lower School, Sheffield, S10 5RG

Sat 27th April 2019

Organiser's Description

Run it or walk it – 50 miles, 1 day in support of Action4Diabetics. This will be an insane 50 mile sponsored run/walk ultra marathon through the Peak District National Park, to be completed inside 24 hours. No opportunities for sleeping, or for team members to complete separate stages – it's purely a case of go as far as your legs will take you, up to the maximum of 50 miles inside 24 hours. Pick up points will be located along the route and there will be regular marshals and support drivers. Wherever you stop, we’ll pick you up.

Shorter family friendly routes of 15 and 25 miles are available. While all the routes are not overly hilly, it is in the Peak District, so there will be hills to walk up and down, though nothing too steep. The routes follow footpaths, bridleways, and byways, and some roads. They should be easily navigated and pleasant to follow.
