Organiser's Description

Timings and distances to be confirmed:

Do3 would like to welcome you to a multisport weekend in Compton Verney, Warwickshire. With various race distances available across the two days we're sure you'll find something to challenge you! This year we have introduced children's races and for those who REALLY like a challenge, the Do3 Black long distance weekend!

With the vibe for the weekend very much about people challenging themselves and giving triathlon a go, we wanted to get the kids involved too!

To allow as many as possible to take part, the kids races will be not-for-profit with only a £10 entry fee.

The swim takes place in the Capability Brown designed lake surrounded by beautiful trees. Once the swim is done it is time to cycle some laps of the grassy bowl. After the bike, competitors run around the scenic venue before finishing in style in parkland overlooking the lake.

This is a special race at a beautiful venue that is suitable for all children who are confident swimming in open water.

Course Details

Swim: Start with a beginner friendly out and back swim in the beautiful Capability Brown designed lake. With a trickle start, competitors will enter the water in pairs and complete one lap of the course.

Bike: The bike course is on grass and will feature laps of the grassy bowl area, so the kids can be cheered on by spectators around the whole course.

Run: The race will finish with a run around the parkland, again remaining in sight within the event field at all times. This course has it all. Just the right amount of flats and hills to challenge you but also to make the most of the beautiful local scenery.

Do children have to wear a wetsuit?
We follow the temperature guidance set by British Triathlon. It is expected that children will wear wetsuits. Please ensure your child's wetsuit is close fitting, as baggy wetsuits will be hard to swim in and won't keep them warm

Ideally you need to register the night before your race. The opening times for the registration desk will be confirmed closer to event day. Will my child need trail shoes if the run is off-road?
The run course will all be on grass which is normally firm underfoot, so they should be fine in normal trainers
