The Evolve Half Triathlon, organised by findarace.com, is set to take place on Sunday 16th August 2020 in Doncaster, North Yorkshire. Participants will start their day with a invigorating 2k swim in the beautiful Blue Lagoon in Womersley, followed by a scenic 90k bike ride through the quiet roads and stunning countryside of Mid Yorkshire. The event will culminate with a two-loop 20k run around the Blue Lagoon. While the distances may be slightly different from a traditional triathlon, they closely resemble a classic Half Iron Distance race. If the event proves to be a hit, there may even be a possibility of the inaugural Evolve Full Distance Triathlon in the future. Join us for a challenging and rewarding race experience in a picturesque setting!
Organiser's Description
The event starts with a refreshing 2k swim in the glorious Blue Lagoon in Womersley, in Yorkshire, followed by a 90k bike (2x45k loops) on the quiet roads and in the stunning countryside of what is locally called Mid Yorkshire! Finally a two loop 20k run on the quiet roads around the Blue Lagoon. The distances are slightly different to an official distance triathlon, but if anything are very close to a classic Half Iron Distance! If this event is a success, who knows, next year may see the inaugural Evolve Full Distance Triathlon!!!
