The distance you run by your watch may vary due to the lap that you run in, we will only be counting the laps and that will dictate the distance covered, therefore if you choose to take the furthest lane out, the distance counted will still be by laps x 400m.

As part of the Fireworks Festival of Running, why not come a tackle the track and cover half marathon, full marathon, 50k Ultra or simply keep going for 6 hours.

1/2 Marathon = 52.75 Laps


Full Marathon = 105.5 Laps


50k Ultra = 125 Laps

Starting at 3pm as part of the Fireworks Festival of Running, why not come a tackle the track and see how far you can go.

This could be the second event of the day.

Options include; 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon, 50k Ultra or simply keep going for 6 hours.

As part of the Fireworks Festival of Running, this is an opportunity to enter 2 events in one day around the Athletics Track at Wodson Park.



Your entry for both has had a double day discount applied.



The Catherine Wheel Canter commences at 9am, the Guy Fawkes Gallop commences at 3pm

On receipt of your entry, we will email you to request your proposed distances for each race.

These can be different, but we need to know your proposal as the distances start at different places around the track.

All runners will be running at different speeds so overtaking will be on the right, if you are looking to walk some of the distance, or Jeff for example, we would ask that you take to the outer lanes, it is important that everyone enjoys the event and as we would expect everyone to respect each other accordingly. 

It will be dusk not long after the race commences so head torches will be required. As it is bonfire night, we expect the locals to be putting on Fireworks, so potentially a unique experience whilst running the track.
