5KM Fun Run that you can Run, walk or dance your way round.

Electrifying light shows and energising beats will carry you around the course as you get your glow on in the Foam Zone, powder up in the UV Paint Blast Zone and get grooving in the Time Tunnel. Open to all abilities, young or old - whether you dance / walk / jog or run - Glow in the Park is your time to shine.

Course Details

The course is 2 laps of a 2.5km flat circuit and is marked by arrows and marshals. You will pass through our glow zones as you dance, jog, run or walk your way around the course. Don't forget its night time so the majority of the course will be dark, you must wear a head torch and look where you are going! The course is on paths, tracks, and some grass areas.

How to Get There

BY CAR

The Kent Event Centre at the Kent Showground is ideally suited for arrival by car. It is located on the A249 which is a busy dual carriageway. From the M20 Motorway. Exit the motorway at junction 7 and follow signs to Sittingbourne and Sheerness A249. The Kent Showground is clearly marked and is approximately 2 miles from the junction. From the M2 Motorway. Exit the motorway at junction 5, signposted Maidstone A249. The Kent Showground is approximately 5 miles from the junction. The postcode is ME14 3JF. Please note that it is best to follow the signs as you near the Showground rather than a sat nav.

PARKING

The on-site car park will be open from 5:15 pm.

Tickets can only be pre-purchased on our website. These tickets need to be printed and placed in your windscreen on the night.

Wear your headtorch whilst on foot in the car park as some areas are unlit.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

By Bus – Arriva route 333 www.arrivabus.co.uk Tel:01622 690 577 There is the number 333 bus service to the Showground during the year. The bus can be caught at the Chequers Bus Station in Maidstone town centre.

By Rail – The nearest train station is Maidstone East. View the Timetable to the left or for more rail enquiries telephone: 08457 48 49 50. The Channel Tunnel is within a 40 minute drive (35 miles). Ashford International is a 20 minute drive (20 miles).

By Air – Gatwick Airport is just 41 miles and a 45 minute drive away.

By Ferry – Dover is within a 45 minute drive and 38 miles away.

5:15 pm - Car park and venue opens. Registration opens (Headbands and bib numbers to be collected at the event).

6:45 pm - Start party, warm-up, and DJ will get you Glowing!

Spectators

The more the merrier! You will be able to enter the site from the main entrance. Do not go on to the course itself and please stay behind the crowd barrier. There is plenty of hot food and drink outlets in the start-finish area for your refreshment!

Children's Tickets

Child tickets are for children aged 6 - 14yrs only. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Any misuse of child tickets will be not be tolerated and persons will be removed from the event.
