Organiser's Description

Lovely point-to-point race from Cowley Recreation Ground, Uxbridge along the Grand Union Canal to Cassiobury Park, Watford. A flat, scenic, unusual, multi-terrain course, traffic-free apart from one minor road crossing near the start.

Location

Start: Cowley Recreation Ground, Uxbridge, UB8 2EA

Finish: Cassiobury Park, Watford, WD18 7HY

What's Included

Bag Drop: You can leave your belongings at the start, using the tear-off baggage strip on your race number. Bags will be taken from the start to the finish.

Toilets: There will be temporary toilets at the start & finish venues. There are no race toilets along the route

Race Marshals: Marshals will be present on the course throughout the race

Distance Markers: The route will be clearly indicated with arrows, tape and Mile markers

Water Stations: There will be 4 water stations on the route at (approximately) Miles 2, 4.7, 7.5 & 10.5. Water will be provided in recyclable plastic cups

Goody Bag: All runners will receive a goody bag on finishing the race

Refreshments: Coffee, snacks & refreshments will be available at the finish

Medals: All finishers will receive a medal on completing the race

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners overall and the top runner in each of the veteran categories

Course Details

A multi-terrain route using mainly canal towpaths. Suitable for runners of all abilities. Please always be vigilant of other runners, spectators, dogs, cyclists and other users of public footpaths and rights of way.

Buggies/Pushchairs: This race is not suitable for runners with buggies/pushchairs

Wheelchair Users: This race is not suitable for wheelchair users

Parking

Parking: Parking is not available at Cowley Rec – the race car park is at GallifordTry, Cowley Business Park, High St, Cowley, UB8 2AL

You can park at the finish and take a coach to the start (pre-registration required, no availability on the day)
