Guernsey Ultra

Sun 17th May 2026

Four men are running on a sunlit forest trail during a race, wearing numbered bibs and athletic clothing. The path is surrounded by greenery and pink wildflowers. The leading runner wears bib number 65. People walk up a steep staircase surrounded by lush green vegetation and dense shrubbery on a hillside under a bright sky. Two people run on a narrow, winding trail along a lush, green coastal cliff. The ocean is visible in the background, and both runners wear athletic clothes and look focused. Trees and shrubbery surround the path. Runners with race bibs jog along a forest trail surrounded by lush green trees and ferns on a sunny day. A man wearing a race bib runs on a trail along a lush, green cliffside overlooking the ocean, with rugged cliffs and distant hills in the background under a partly cloudy sky. Three smiling women in running gear and numbered race bibs pose together on a forest trail during a race, while a man runs behind them. The group appears cheerful and energetic, surrounded by greenery. Two people run on a narrow coastal trail beside green hills and cliffs, the man in front smiles and gives a thumbs up. The sea is visible on the right under a blue sky with light clouds. A person runs along a winding coastal path lined with wildflowers and green grass, overlooking cliffs and the sea under a cloudy sky, with a modern concrete building in the distance. A person in a red shirt hikes up a rocky path near a large, gray WWII-era concrete bunker overlooking the sea on a foggy day. Grassy and rocky terrain surrounds the scene. Several shiny silver trophies are displayed on a table, reflecting their surroundings. Colorful event medals with text and designs are placed in the background under orange lighting. A runner in a blue outfit and neon green compression socks, wearing a race bib numbered 103, jogs along a stone wall on a paved path. The background shows more stone walls and wooden posts. Two runners wearing race bibs jog along a narrow trail through grassy hills and wildflowers. The first runner in yellow smiles enthusiastically, while the second in orange follows behind under a cloudy sky.

Organiser's Description

A 36 mile, fully marked, mixed terrain race around the island of Guernsey. The circular route starts in the picturesque town of St. Peter Port before leading on to 16 miles of beautifully rugged cliffs. From here it is fairly flat going along the west coast, where you will enjoy the view of the sweeping bays and beaches. At around mile 25 there will be another fully stocked checkpoint to replenish you before continuing around the north coast of the island and finally the east coast back to St Peter Port and the finish.
This is an ideal race for those wanting to step up to ultra distance. With the checkpoints further apart than you may be used to when running marathons, this will accustom you to the more self-sufficient way that most ultra races are run.
