Join findarace.com for a spooktacular Halloween Challenge at Samphire Hoe in Dover, Kent on Thursday, 31st October 2019. This unique event will see runners starting in the daylight and running into the night, with glow in the dark accessories to light the way once darkness falls. The course offers stunning views of the English Channel and the opportunity to explore a nature reserve with plenty of wildlife. Participants can complete as many 3.75 mile loops as they can in 6 hours, all while enjoying the festive Halloween atmosphere. Organiser's Description
Halloween by the sea! We'll start our Halloween Challenge at Samphire Hoe in the daylight, then watch the sun go down and the ghosts and ghouls come out as the night comes in. Did we ever mention all the shipwrecks along the English Channel? Fancy dress is very much encouraged and we'll have some glow in the dark things to illuminate runners once the lights go out, not to mention our lovely Halloween Medal!
Samphire Hoe is nature reserve created from 4.9 million cubic metres of chalk marl from the Channel Tunnel excavations. This has been left to mature in to a rolling nature reserve with an abundance of wildlife, and for us runners, some lovely trails and a long wide dead flat sea wall to enclose it all. Complete as many 3.75 mile loops as you can in 6 hours.
