Organiser's Description

--- Booking for this event has been stopped due to ongoing concerns regarding Coronavirus. The race organiser will be in touch with you in due course if you have made a booking for this event. ---

Set in the beautiful Cherwell Valley countryside, the routes all utilise the base's Runway, RAF Taxiway and NATO Taxiway and are therefore pancake flat, traffic-free and pretty much PB guaranteed!

Choose between the 5k, 10k or Half Marathon - all equally good for those venturing into racing, moving up a distance or aiming to set a new PB. There's also a 1k Junior Race. Something for the whole family and a safe environment for spectators, with refreshments and plenty of history around you!

The running festival is part of a multi-sport weekend at Heyford Airbase over 20/21 June. On Saturday 20, the day before our running events, we are holding the Heyford Duathlon, ideal for total beginner or experienced competitors. Choose from either the sprint or standard distance:

Good flat course but came up short. Nice small event. 2 laps, flat course. Could have done with one more water station, a portaloo on route! And my watch only registered 12.85 miles. Easy parking. Great medal.
