The Hopton 10k is a fun yet challenging run which takes place on quiet roads, bridleways and footpaths in and around the small village of Hopton, in West Yorkshire.
We've designed the route to give runners a balanced mix of terrain - plenty of variety for everyone and a perfect introduction to trail running. All funds go directly to help support Hopton Primary School.

Hopton Primary School, 4 Woodend Rd, Mirfield, West Yorkshire WF14 8PR
By train: Dewsbsury station is about 4 miles away, with trains to Manchester, Middlesborough, Leeds, Huddersfield, Hull and Southport.
By car: The venue can be reached by leaving the M62 at Junction 25 and following the A644 towards Dewsbury.
On your sat nav it’s best to use Chadwick Lane, WF14 8PN, which will take you to the entrance to the School playground car park.
The School playground will be open as a car park and has space for around 60 cars. Set your SatNav to Chadwick Lane, WF14 8PN
We are also looking for other parking options. However, as with most running races, we’d recommend you avoid bringing a car if at all possible. Please respect our neighbours and don’t block any drives or roads if you go for on-street parking.
The woods and fields around the small village of Hopton are a great place to run, offering some great variety. There are steep climbs, woodland glades, bridleways, fields, quiet roads, and great views over the Calder valley. We thought it would make a great place to hold an annual race. So grab your mucky trainers and get involved!
