Organiser's Description

Arguably Shropshire’s most scenic multi-terrain 10K, this chip timed race, which is set in a rural village just outside Newport, is now in its 10th year. The course takes in woodland and tracks, passing historic limekilns where there is still evidence of the former canal that once served the village. Mixed scenery includes bridges across ponds enjoying views of nesting birdlife, along with one or two playful hills including the iconic Lilleshall Hill itself (132m), which on a clear day boasts panoramic views of the Welsh mountains, and, closer to home, the marvellous ruins of Lilleshall Abbey.

Well organised local event.. Very enjoyable and well organised local run, but also challenging. Good information provided prior to the run and very easy to register on arrival.
