Get ready for an exhilarating day at the Louth Triathlon on Sunday, September 6th, 2020, held in the picturesque town of Louth, Lincolnshire. This popular event welcomes both first-time triathletes and seasoned competitors alike. Participants will kick off with a refreshing pool swim at the Meridian Leisure Centre before tackling a challenging bike leg that meanders through the scenic northern Lincolnshire countryside. Although the route is relatively flat, it promises an exciting ride that keeps you engaged and pushes your limits. Runners will then hit the tree-lined Railway Walk, which will be closed to the public for the race, ensuring an uninterrupted path to chase personal bests or even a course record. With two triathlon distances on offer, as well as the addition of aquabike and aquathlon options, there's something for everyone in this thrilling event that's part of the Lincolnshire Triathlon Series. Organiser's Description
A very popular event with 1st timers, as well as the more experienced triathlete. A pool swim at the Meridian Leisure Centre is followed by a demanding bike leg which ventures out into northern Lincolnshire countryside along quiet country roads; although relatively flat it has been described as a great bike route as 'it doesn't allow you to stay in the saddle'. The run course takes in The Railway Walk - the path will be closed to the general public on race day so you can enjoy the tree lined path and run without interruption, and can go for that PB - or a course record!
