Maverick X Ultra Snowdonia - cancelled

Llanberis, Caernarfon

Parc Padarn, Llanberis, Caernarfon LL55 4TY, UK

Sat 10th October 2020

Organiser's Description

--- This event has been cancelled due to ongoing concerns regarding Coronavirus. The race organiser will be in touch with you in due course if you have made a booking for this event ---

We return to the Snowdonia National park for our fourth year for the Maverick Adidas Terrex Snowdonia X-series and Ultra event. This event has become notorious over the years, with more challenges, obstacles and ascent than any of our other races.. To keep up with the reputation of our Snowdonia event being a runners ‘A’ race and a destination venue, we’ve refreshed our routes and added a brand new Ultra distance race option.

Our new 50km route ascends Snowdon with the other three routes up the Llanberis Path and descends with the Long route down the Bwlch Main path. The route then snakes along the river before eventually climbing Moel Hebog, a 782m peak that translates as ‘Hill of the Falcon’. After the Mighty Hebog we venture through Beddgelert forest and onwards to the final climb of the day to Moel Eilio.

Whilst in the Snowdonia National Park there is never any guarantee of ‘good’ weather a few things we can certainly be sure of are; extraordinary trail running, formidable climbs, technical descents and a challenge like no other. With grit and determination these routes are achievable for all runners and will leave you all with the most fulfilling sense of accomplishment.

For many of our runners our Snowdon X-series event is quite literally the peak of their season and a place where they push and often exceed their own personal limits. The Maverick Adidas Terrex Snowdonia X-series event is the one event on our calendar that there is absolutely no other substitute for, so be brave and courageous and we look forward to seeing you on the start line in May.

Rescheduled from 16th May 2020.

Team Entry Details

Maverick Race was born from teamwork and has grown to what it is through a hardworking family of what can only be described as the ultimate ‘dream team’.

Brand new for 2020 we are introducing a team competition across all four Maverick Adidas Terrex X-Ultra series events, giving you the opportunity to run and compete with your very own ‘dream team’.

At each Maverick Adidas Terrex X-Ultra event you can enter to run as a team of 4, whereby each runner runs 1 of the 4 distances on offer. The winning team is the team of 4 with the quickest cumulative time across all 4 distances.

All 4 runners set off at the same time then along the route members of your team will peel off according to which route they are running.

Entering as a team saves you £20 over all 4 distances (£160 instead of the individual sum of entries at £180).

So, Now more than ever before, running with Maverick race means you will never feel truly alone out on the trails and there is a distance for everyone. Knowing that your own team of Mavericks will be waiting for you at the finish line is enough to make sure you’re screaming ‘squad-goals’ come that finish line.
