Organiser's Description

The final round of the Petzl Night Runner Series takes place at Rivington Pike. Rivington has a reputation for UFO sightings and the huge radio masts on the top of Winter Hill act as magnet for all things unexplained. It therefore seems fitting to make the final event of the series a “close encounters” theme. Whilst this may seem a little ‘alien’ to a few of you (see what we did there?) the format is simple. The 10k course is marked with reflective signs and you run with a head torch to light the paths ahead of you. You’ll need off road running shoes as the terrain at Rivington is rough, boggy and rocky, which is difficult even in the daylight! Join us for the final round of the Petzl Night Runner Series, it’s going to be an EPIC night of strange goings on.
