There will be car parking at Markeaton Park Craft Village car park and The Mundy Play Centre car park spaces are limited and normal charges apply. Car parking is also available at Derby University, please follow event signs. Disabled parking is available at all parking locations.
The nearest station is Derby Train Station. It is then a 25 minute walk to the event, so we recommend taxi sharing with friends from the station. There are also many bus routes passing Markeaton Park.

Course Details

The course is set within the 200 acres of parkland of Markeaton Park. This is a picturesque venue featuring many different gardens and wildlife areas - one of the most popular parks in the East Midlands. The course is a mixture of terrains and suitable for all abilities to walk, jog or run. The 10k course is a double lap of the 5k course.

Please arrive 30 to 45mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Further Information

The course uses a mixture of grass field and main park paths. The grassed areas could be effected by poor weather and adjustments will be made where ever possible. There is a hill section for around 100m and a gravel path for around 80m in distance just after the 2K point that may require assistance.

We suggest this course is suitable to wheelchair users with assistance.
