Join findarace.com for the Rhayader Hilly Time Trial Series Race 9 on Thursday 24th July 2014 in the picturesque town of Rhayader, Powys. This challenging event takes participants on a hilly journey starting at the cycle path and heading uphill towards the Dams, with a mix of sharp climbs and scenic descents through the Elan Valley. The race finishes at the bottom car park at Claerwen Dam after crossing Garreg Ddu bridge. While fast times may not be the focus here, the courses are certainly interesting and exciting to ride. If you're up for a challenge and enjoy a mix of climbs and descents, this event is perfect for you.
Organiser's Description
This event starts at the start of the cycle path and goes uphill immediately with a sharp little climb heading towards the Dams. After a brisk descent, the course climbs gradually through the scenic Elan Valley, turns left over Garreg Ddu bridge, finishing at the bottom car park at Claerwen Dam. If you're looking for courses with fast times, then don't look here! If you can average over 20 mph on the Round the Dams course, you're doing well. Our courses are interesting and exciting to ride.
