The ROC Mountain Marathon
A two-day fell running and navigation challenge for solos and pairs with an overnight camp.
Since its launch in 2007, the event has proved a popular choice with mountain marathon competitors. Its score format minimises the chance of ‘snakes’ of runners all heading to the same control, maximises route choice and offers a more personal mountain marathon experience. Now with live GPS tracking and a choice of 2 score format courses, 4 linear courses and a GPS course: ideal for novice to experienced runners alike.
- Long score: 7 & 6 hours
- Short score: 6 & 5 hours
- Linear Elite: 70km with 3,500m ascent
- Linear A: 60km with 2,800m ascent
- Linear B: 50km with 2,500m ascent
- Linear C: 40km with 2,000m ascent
- GPS course: As Linear C but with GPS allowed
