Shere 1 Hour Mini Trail Run
This event is ideal for families with children up to the age of 16, and for those who want to improve their navigation and/or trail running skills. It is equally suitable for people new to adventure racing, and who want to practice their map reading and compass skills. Athletes looking for a quick run in beautiful countryside will also enjoy this event. Canicross runners are most welcome - dogs go for free!
Trail Run only - using a 1:25k waterproof map, plan your route and navigate to as many of the 10 clip style checkpoints as possible in 1 hour. The CPs are located much closer to one another than in the other events. Unlike other events, this is not a race, so there are no prizes for those collecting the most CPs. You plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit. Distance covered depends on how many checkpoints are visited; it can be anything from 3k to around 8k, and depends on your level of fitness, and on your running and map reading skills.
